Cliffs Life Saving Mission

The mission saved Liang Cliffs after an officer was injured in an animal trap noose through hotline 1362.

On February 19, 2026, officials of the 7th Conservation Area Administration Bureau (Nakhon Ratchasima) were notified, through the Forest Guard Hotline 1362, that the cliffs were found injured, in the area of Kilometer 94, M6 Special Expressway, Central Dong District, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

Wildlife Health Management, Wildlife Conservation Section, 7th Conservation Area Administration (Nakhon Ratchasima), along with Phu Luang and Khao Yai National Park staff, examined one adult male cliff with a right front leg injury due to a sling noose that is an animal trap. The veterinarian carefully anesthetized the noose. Although the open wound was not found outside, but the risk of internal complications due to stress, he moved to the Livestock and Wildlife Hospital for a close assessment.

Most recently, on February 23, 2026, following the care and monitoring of the symptoms by veterinarians, the cliff was found to be healthy and normal. The Phu Luang Forest Hunting Prohibition Area staff, together with the Wildlife Health Management Department, the 7th Conservation Area Administration (Nakhon Ratchasima), jointly released the cliff to nature in a suitable area to return to subsistence and further balance the ecosystem.
