Slow mornings?
Hi everyone, so Iāve been learning myself as an adult with adhd for about 3-4 years. The older I get the more I realize it after my therapist pointed it out.
People keep telling me I move really slow with everything I do. Like Iām moving in slow motion and Iām āalways late.ā I know I move slower than most but I think thatās part of medical issues. But I give myself time to be late if that makes sense.
ā If I have to be somewhere at 8am Iāll set alarms for 6-6:30am and 7am assuming it takes 30min to get there. I usually get up on the first alarm get dressed and everything then lay back down. To me itās gives me time to take my time. Because I also get anxious in the mornings, so I have time to get dressed, brush my teeth and everything, do affirmations and breathing and sometimes a little stretching. Then lay back down for about 10-15min then get up and eat. Then by that time Iām getting small stuff together like my jewelry or grabbing a water bottle. Thatās how I end up being the last one leaving the house.
- - To me it makes sense because I have a system, but everyone else doesnāt agree they can wake up 30min before itās time to go and be good and ready to go.
- - The extra time I have leaves for if I wake up late, not feeling well, etc. I still have time to do what I need to do without rushing or being late. Just being āthe last one leaving the house.ā
ā Iām not sure if itās an adhd thing or not Iām still learning myself as an adult with adhd.#adhdstyle #adhdmanagement #embracevulnerability #unfiltered #slowlife #sloth #timemanagement #systemizeyourlife
