God is the guardian.

"The oil runs out in the middle of the way... but the guardian never disappears."

Psalm 121: 5.

The Bible says

"Yahweh is your guardian; Yahweh is a shade on your right hand."

And when we understand the context, we know that this verse is not in the worship room.

But it is * the song of the distant one *

A person who is walking on a hot road to Jerusalem.

Through the sun, through the danger, and through the exhaustion of the heart.

And this makes a picture come to mind...

A picture of Christ Rider riding a motorbike down the street for a ministry.

Proclaim God.

Pray for people

And travel the way He gave.

But then - mid-way.

The oil ran out.

It's not because he didn't mean to.

But because the path is long

And the body is limited.

It's like our lives are sometimes "burned out, exhausted, hopeless."

Out of oil is a picture of vulnerability and truth.

That we all face in God's path.

And the second he parked by the roadside,

The sun is too hot to bear.

He probably thinks - he must be stuck here alone.

But not for long.

There was a driver.

And then kindly stopped.

With a bottle of oil to spare.

Like God sends ordinary people into the most fit rhythm.

This is the deep meaning of Psalm 121: 5.

* * Yahweh is the protector * *

It means

He stands between us and what's about to knock us down.

Whether it's hot sun, exhaustion or fire,

* * He is a shade on the right hand * *

I mean,

He is on the side where we fight the hardest.

The side we're exhausted.

The side we're most vulnerable to.

He doesn't stand far.

But stand close to the point where we are most brittle.

And He doesn't just protect us miraculously.

But protect us "tangible."

Like sending a stranger

Send one sentence of speech.

Or send the situation once.

To refuel, let us keep going.

The oil may run out.

But he never runs out of concern.

And His help - never broken.

Because Yahweh is the custodian who travels with us.

From the first step... until the destination.
