I turned Yellow
I have to laugh about this. I was not a big fan of this make up to begin with. But what really took me out was when I got home, and under different lighting
realized I was YELLOWWW😂
Anywho, my make up was done by a hired MUA for my Aunts wedding. The whole bridal party was including the MUA was 🤚🏾.So why such yellow makeup? Idk🤷🏾♀️.
When I seen the artist work before hand, it already seem very amateur. But I didn’t want to seem mean by denying her service. I genuinely felt like she couldn’t do too bad with a simple bridal look. But I was wrong.
I don’t remember who the artist was. And even if I did, I wouldn’t disclose it. Lol I genuinely hope she has gotten better since that was 3-4 years ago.
Makeup can be a tricky endeavor, especially for significant events like weddings. The lighting, application techniques, and choice of products all play essential roles in achieving a flawless look. Many people often forget that natural lighting can drastically change how makeup appears once the party is over. It's not uncommon to hear stories about unfortunate makeup blunders, like the author experienced. Understanding your own skin tone and finding a makeup artist who can respect that is crucial in preventing such mishaps. Many brides opt for professional makeup artists to ensure they look perfect on their big day. However, experiences vary, and it's essential to communicate clearly with the artist about your preferences. Factors such as the wedding's time of day can influence the makeup look as well. It's beneficial to have a trial session beforehand, ideally in different lighting conditions. While this author’s story highlights an unfortunate outcome, it serves as a reminder to research and choose makeup artists wisely, looking at their portfolios and reviews. Ultimately, we all hope for a positive experience and a makeup look that enhances rather than detracts from our natural beauty.
