Learning how to exist after lost love
On September 7th, 2025, my husband passed way shortly before 1 am in the hospital as I was ushered from the hallway to a consultation room.
We were married for almost 7 years. Together for 10 years. He was 36. I was 35.
He has chronic health conditions (renal failure) but was doing okay until his body stopped fighting.
It’s been a surreal roller coaster as I try to live without the love of my life, and try to find out what I want or need to do to survive.
Do any other young widows have tips to help?
It hasn’t yet been two months but I’m all over the place. Unfocused, going between wanting to rot in bed or do things every day to honor him.
