On September 27, 2025, the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Mr. Antoine Chan Virgul, took up the flood situation monitoring area in Phra Sri Ayutthaya Province, along with the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the Cabinet, the Governor and representatives of the relevant departments.

The Prime Minister said that Nakhon Sriyutthaya is a water-carrying area from the upper Chao Phraya River and has a low-lying area, causing frequent floods. This year, there have been three floods. The last one started on August 20, reiterating that Thailand may not be able to avoid flooding, but can manage to minimize the impact.

The Prime Minister ordered local authorities to expedite the urgent implementation of assistance to the people, including the movement of victims, the provision of food, drinking water and necessities, including the establishment of sanitary shelters, with instructions for a comprehensive survey of damage and remedies for victims as soon as possible.

In addition, if any agency encounters regulatory obstacles, it is requested to expedite the proposal of remedies immediately. The Government is ready to support the work so that the public can be fully and timely rescued.
