# The President instructs government agencies and enterprises
The PM ordered government agencies and enterprises to begin work measures from Home, abstaining from foreign work immediately in response to the Middle East crisis.
To accommodate the volatile global energy price situation of the Middle East truce situation, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Nintin Chan Virgul, ordered government agencies and enterprises to implement energy-saving measures by immediately starting Work from Home in a segment that does not affect serving the public, abstaining from traveling to study, study, work or training abroad and to adjust the format to education.
Instead, see the work or organize domestic activities, which must fully take into account serving the public in accordance with the standard of serving the public, as well as closely monitor the global economic and energy situation so that the measures can be adjusted appropriately and timely. While the Cabinet acknowledges the way to reduce energy consumption in government agencies, emphasizing energy efficiency and setting an example for other sectors, such as optimizing air conditioning temperatures, wearing short-sleeved shirts, refraining from wearing tie suits, except for ceremonial work, turning off unnecessary lights and electrical equipment, meeting online and working from Home as appropriate, regularly monitoring car conditions and planning trips. In order to reduce energy consumption, the Department of Public Information will coordinate cooperation on television, radio, and social media, energy-saving campaigns in all sectors. If the situation increases the intensity until it affects energy supply, it is appropriate to propose additional compulsory measures, such as dimming the use of electricity in billboards or services from 10: 00 pm onwards, and setting the opening and closing of fuel stations no later than 10: 00 pm. If oil consumption can be reduced by about 5 per cent, it will reduce oil consumption by about 3.3 lakh litres per month, which is about 10.45 million baht per month, and if electricity consumption is reduced by 5 per cent, it will save about 31 million units of electricity per month.
