In Houston, the warm climate makes the yeast activate nicely, giving a perfect rise. I often add a personal touch by sprinkling extra cinnamon and sugar or using homemade cream cheese frosting. It’s amazing how little tweaks can elevate the final product. Baking also brings a sense of accomplishment and comfort, especially when sharing these treats with family or friends. 🧡Batter: Mix 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, & 1/2 tsp salt together. Set aside. Beat together 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup sugar, & 2 tsp vanilla extract until smooth. Then beat in 2 eggs. Slowly add in flour mixture & 1/2 cup of milk until well combined. Set aside.
