Easy DIY headboard tutorial
such a fun DIY and it looks absolutely amazing. $40-$60 to make.
materials:
✅ piece of plywood (i did a thinner one)
✅one big fabric piece
✅2 foam mattress toppers (this is cheaper)
✅batting
✅spray adhesive
✅gems or buttons
✅screws and washers
optional:
✅2 long thin wood boards
directions:
1. lay your plywood flat and put one foam pad on top
2. spray glue on the wood and foam in sections. pressing on the foam each time until dry
3. repeat the process with the 2nd foam pad on top of the first (put the textured side down towards the board)
4. lay your badding flat on the floor and put your plywood on top of it, foam side down against the badding.
5. pull the badding tight and staple the excess on the back of the plywood
6. iron your fabric and repeat the same process as you did with the badding
7. this is the hardest step, getting the measurements right for the buttons. measure the distance you want and mark it with a marker
8. take a screw and put it in a washer. then screw them in each marking. you want to make sure you have a washer so the fabric doesnt rip
9. once all the screws are in, glue the buttons over top
10. this step is optional. i screwed 2 wood pieces on as legs since i didnt want to screw to the wall
