How to Use Jelly Adhesive Correctly? 💅🏽✨
I’ve noticed many of you mentioning that using jelly adhesive for press-on nails isn’t secure and comes off when in contact with water, Let’s see which step you might be doing wrong! #pressonnailstip #jellyadhesivetip #pressonnailsapplication #howtoapplypressonnails #pressonnailstutorial
Hey everyone! Building on my last post about getting those jelly adhesives to stick, I wanted to dive even deeper into what truly makes press-on nails last. It’s not just about the adhesive; it’s about the whole process, from prep to application, ensuring that perfect snug fit every time. If you've ever had that frustrating lifted back edge or nails popping off after a shower, trust me, I’ve been there! First things first, your nail prep is absolutely crucial for creating a strong bond. Before even thinking about adhesive, gently push back your cuticles and lightly buff the surface of your natural nails. This removes any oils and creates a slightly textured surface for the jelly adhesive to grip onto. Then, cleanse your nails thoroughly with alcohol wipes. This might seem minor, but it makes a huge difference in how long your press-ons stay put. Now, let's talk about the jelly adhesive application itself, focusing on those crucial "close up" details. When you apply the jelly tab, make sure to leave that vital 1mm gap between the adhesive and your fingertip skin. This prevents the adhesive from touching your skin and creating a weak point. I've found that placing the adhesive slightly away from the cuticle line helps achieve a more natural look and prevents lifting there. When it comes to placing the press-on nail, don't just plop it on! My trick for a super secure fit is to apply it diagonally. Start by aligning the press-on nail with your cuticle, inserting the nail tip about 1mm above the adhesive's bottom edge. This ensures the adhesive spreads evenly without bubbling. Then, slowly press it down, pushing toward the fingertip. This technique helps to squeeze out any air bubbles and fully engage the adhesive across the entire nail bed, making sure it’s evenly distributed around all edges. You should feel a slight resistance as the adhesive spreads. After application, don't forget to press downward firmly on the entire surface of the press-on nail for at least 15-30 seconds. This activates the adhesive and secures the bond. For extra security, avoid getting your hands wet or exposing them to harsh chemicals for at least an hour or two after application. Believe me, these detailed steps are what take your press-on game from 'oops, it fell off!' to 'these look professionally done and are going nowhere!'

Honestly I just don’t like how I can feel them kinda move around. I much prefer my glue and kiss gel adhesive, specifically the gel because it’s gentle on my nails
