Le MONDE Gourmand is probably a brand that I don’t think people really talk about enough which I don’t really know why because they really have many affordable perfumes.
Anyways, I have purchased a couple of their body oil sometime last year (I believe I made a post about this too. I may have to check.) and I saw when I went to Ulta a couple days ago that they extended the line and this time it is with CHAI EPICE and MIEL BEBE!
These oil are not as heavy as they looked and pretty lightweight; they also have matching perfumes so combining those two together will be a match made in heaven. The body oil is also leave a glistening look and I’m trying to debate if these are going in my top five body oils since I have so many!
With that said, let me give you a quick review on these two items :
CHAI EPICE: I already loved the perfume in this and I tend to come out only around the fall season (in fact I need to buy another bottle because I’m almost out of it) and the body oil is just as yummy and delicious. Think of a lightly sweet spice you can drink.. the fragrance note in this is Violet fig, Muguet musk, and blonde woods.
MIEL BEBE: think grown, think fresh, think sophisticated, think warm weather by the beach; this has a bit of a citrusy appeal to it, but it’s a fresh version instead of being so sweet. The fragrant notes in this is honey blossom, Mandarin , and praline.
You can currently get these at Ulta and it also have other scents as well such as Creme vanille and Lait de Coco!
... Read moreAfter spending more time with the new Le Monde Gourmand body oils, I have even more to say about why they've quickly become staples in my routine! When I first picked up the Miel Bebe and Chai Epice bottles, I was immediately drawn to their sleek packaging, clearly labeled with their generous 4.0 fl. oz. (120 mL) volume. But it's what's inside that truly counts, right?
First off, the texture. If you’re like me and hesitant about body oils feeling greasy or heavy, you absolutely need to try these. They truly are incredibly lightweight, absorbing beautifully into the skin without leaving any sticky residue. Instead, you're left with a subtle, healthy-looking sheen, almost like a natural glow, which is perfect for adding that extra touch of radiance, especially on arms and legs. I've found that applying them right after a shower, when my skin is still slightly damp, really locks in the moisture and helps the fragrance develop beautifully.
Now, let's talk scents in more detail, especially for those looking to explore the wider Le Monde Gourmand collection, including their popular perfumes and body mists. The Chai Epice body oil is simply intoxicating. While the article mentions violet fig, muguet musk, and blonde woods, what truly comes through for me is that warm, comforting, yet slightly sophisticated spice blend. It's not overly sweet, making it incredibly versatile. I love pairing it with the matching Chai Epice perfume – it’s a game-changer for fragrance longevity! The body oil acts as a perfect base, making the perfume scent last hours longer than it would on its own. It's definitely a fall favorite, but I've found myself reaching for it on cooler summer evenings too.
Then there's Miel Bebe, which completely surprised me in the best way possible. When I hear "honey," I sometimes expect something overly saccharine, but this is far from it. The description of honey blossom, mandarin, and praline perfectly captures its essence. It's brightened by the mandarin, giving it a juicy, fresh burst, while the honey and praline add a delicate, creamy sweetness. It truly evokes that 'warm weather by the beach' vibe, as if you're basking in the sun with a gentle sea breeze. If you're into fresh but still comforting scents, this is a must-try. Layering this with a light, citrusy body mist or even the Miel Bebe Eau de Parfum would create an even more immersive scent experience.
Many people also ask, "is Le Monde Gourmand clean?" While the brand doesn't always explicitly market itself as "clean beauty" in the strictest sense, they focus on affordable, high-quality fragrances that are generally well-received and don't contain a huge list of controversial ingredients. For $30, you're getting a generous 4.0 fl. oz. (120 mL) bottle of body oil that feels luxurious without the luxury price tag, making it an excellent value.
Beyond Chai Epice and Miel Bebe, don't forget to explore other incredible Le Monde Gourmand body oils and perfumes available at Ulta, like Creme Vanille and Lait de Coco. If you love a classic, rich vanilla, Creme Vanille is your go-to. For something more exotic and creamy, Lait de Coco is divine – perfect for transporting you to a tropical paradise. These body oils aren't just about moisturizing; they're about creating a complete sensory experience and making your favorite fragrances last longer. They truly make skin feel soft, supple, and beautifully scented all day long. If you're considering adding a gourmand body oil to your collection, Le Monde Gourmand is an excellent starting point.
Thanks for the review. I will go sniff these out at Ulta this week. 🥜🍋
