While I own a couple of Danessa Myrick’s products I don’t think it get mentioned enough!
Right now, Sephora have their savings event based on which beauty insider tier you are, and I decided to invest in this, and so, I find this to be very moisturizing and also give my face a “glow” instead of a oily slick skin that I typically have.
I will say that I left my skin and Also very soft to the touch as well and not dry.
I will continue to play with this, but so far I am loving what I’m seeing thus far!
... Read moreI've always been on the hunt for that one product that truly transforms my skin, especially when it feels a bit dull or dehydrated. When I first heard about the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Moisture Repair Balm Serum, I was intrigued, but it wasn't until the Sephora savings event that I decided to finally give it a try. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
From the moment I opened the elegant bronze compact, I knew I was in for a treat. The balm itself has a beautiful, rich texture. It truly lives up to its promise of being a moisturizing and repairing balm serum, making my skin feel incredibly supple and smooth. The original article mentioned it gives a ‘glow’ instead of an ‘oily slick,’ and I can wholeheartedly agree. My complexion looks radiant, not greasy, which is a huge win for someone like me who battles shine throughout the day.
What makes this balm serum so effective? For me, it's the powerful blend of Hyaluronic Acid and Squalene. Hyaluronic Acid is a hydration hero, drawing moisture into the skin and plumping it up, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and gives that bouncy, 'yummy' skin feel. Squalene, on the other hand, is a fantastic emollient that mimics the skin's natural oils, locking in that moisture without feeling heavy or clogging pores. This dynamic duo provides that '100% increase in hydration' the box proudly claims, and I can genuinely feel the difference in my skin's texture and overall health after just a few uses. This combination makes it a true moisture repair balm.
I've found this balm serum to be incredibly versatile. A small amount, gently warmed between my fingertips, melts beautifully into my skin. I primarily use it as the last step in my evening skincare routine, and I wake up to incredibly soft, nourished, and radiant skin. But it's also fantastic for daytime! I’ve tried it as a primer under my makeup, and it creates such a smooth, luminous canvas, helping my foundation glide on seamlessly and look more natural. I've even dabbed a tiny bit on dry patches on my body – it’s truly a facial and body balm that delivers intense hydration wherever needed.
Beyond just the immediate glow and softness, I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin's overall resilience and barrier function. It feels more 'repaired' and less reactive to environmental stressors. For anyone dealing with dryness, a compromised skin barrier, or just looking to boost their skin's natural radiance, this is an investment worth making, especially if you can get it during a Sephora sale. The $41.00 price tag might seem like a splurge, but a little goes a very long way, making the product last for months. It's become a non-negotiable step in my routine, and I continue to be amazed by the results. If you're looking for your next skincare obsession that deeply hydrates and gives you that coveted healthy glow, the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Moisture Repair Balm Serum is an absolute must-try!
