BBW ONLINE EXCLUSIVE: Oud Collection

All right, all right!

A lot of people may or may not be aware of this collection because it is online only but I got my hands on the Oud collection from Bath & body works and it comes in three scents: Oud Vanilla, Oud Suede and Oud Berry

I got this during the $5.95 body care sale but they originally run at $17.95 each.

Would that say let’s get to the review:

🖤 Oud Vanilla - Notes: Rich Tonka, Creamy Praline, and Sugared Oud - this is a very smoky vanilla. It kind of runs in a family of vanilla bourbon that was released a couple years ago, along with vanilla bourbon that we just retired. This copping acquired taste. I would definitely say this is to be worn at night time or when it’s finally chilly outside. With the oud involved, it does make it very smoky. I would say this may be the least favorite, but still good!

🤎 Oud Suede - Notes: Soft Musk, Amber Woods and Smothering Oud - this may be my favorite one after three and I believe the soft musk in the Amber Woods is really was doing it however it is the softest out of the three, which is probably will be my preference with this kind of collection that’s using very strong smoky and Woody smell. I found this sent to be somewhat unisex at the same time, but it is a bit of sweetness as well.

💜 Oud Berry - Notes: Dark berries, Magnolia Freesia and Warm Oud - this is the strongest out the three with this very loud Berry smell. The Oud is very subtle and distant, and the berries are forefront. The smell reminds me of blackberries with a smoky after smell, which could be acquired taste.

All 3 are pretty unique scents that fine suitable for fall but considering it is oud, it may be a hit or miss.

... Read moreHaving experienced the Bath & Body Works Oud Collection firsthand, I can share some additional insights beyond the initial review. Oud fragrances often carry a reputation for being bold and intense, sometimes too overpowering for everyday wear. What I appreciated about this collection is the versatility it offers, balancing oud’s smokiness with sweeter and softer undertones. Oud Vanilla stands out for its deep smoky vanilla tone, reminiscent of cozy winter evenings. It’s great for layering with a light moisturizer to mellow the smokier notes. Although it may not be everyone’s favorite, I found it lends an elegant warmth perfect for night outings or cooler seasons. Oud Suede, blending soft musk and amber woods, delivers an approachable and well-rounded scent. I agree it feels unisex and less aggressive, making it ideal for daily wear whether at work or casual settings. The subtle sweetness pairs nicely with its woody base, giving it a refined yet inviting character. Oud Berry is the boldest, with dark berry notes upfront and a faint oud presence. This makes it exciting but perhaps polarizing; if you enjoy fruity fragrances with depth, this would be a solid choice. Personally, I found it uplifting as a signature scent for fall. One practical tip is to try these fragrances during a sale or special offer, as the original price point might be steep for casual buyers. Also, considering these scents have strong oud elements, wearing them in well-ventilated spaces is advisable to avoid overwhelming yourself or others. Overall, this collection embodies Bath & Body Works’ attempt to cater to oud lovers looking for accessible, wearable options. Whether you prefer smoky warmth, soft muskiness, or fruity richness, these three offer distinct personalities to match your mood or occasion.
