Dream Matte Mousse & Other Crimes Against Women....

If you or a loved one survived the 90s eyebrow era…you may be entitled to financial compensation 😭

After years of overplucking, overwaxing, and yes unfortunately even shaving at one point (we don’t speak on that dark chapter), I’ve decided to finally begin my eyebrow regrowth journey.

I’m trying MEN’S 5% minoxidil/Rogaine because I’ve seen several dermatologists discussing it for brow regrowth.

BUT PLEASE READ:

🚨 Minoxidil is EXTREMELY toxic to pets — especially cats. Be VERY careful with application, residue, pillows, hands, etc. My cat Frankie literally tries to lick my eyebrows for unknown reasons so we will absolutely be avoiding that 😂

Also:

This is NOT a quick fix.

It took most of the 90s and early 2000s to destroy these brows. It’ll probably take a long time to rebuild them too.

No overnight miracle promises here — just consistency and hopefully a slow return from eyebrow bankruptcy.

I’ll update progress every couple weeks 👏

... Read moreMany of us remember the iconic 90s beauty trends that weren’t always kind to our brows. Years of overplucking, waxing, and even shaving left our eyebrows sparse and damaged, often causing frustration when trying to grow them back naturally. From my experience, the eyebrow regrowth process requires patience and commitment—it’s not an overnight fix! Women have long searched for solutions like castor oil, eyebrow pencils, tattoos, or pomades to fill in thin or patchy brows, but these often provide only temporary results. The use of minoxidil, originally a hair regrowth treatment for men’s scalp hair, has gained attention as an effective option to stimulate eyebrow follicles. However, it’s essential to approach this method carefully. Incorporating men’s 5% minoxidil (Rogaine) for brow regrowth has shown promising results according to dermatologists, but I always keep in mind the strict safety precautions due to its toxicity—especially to cats and other pets. Avoiding contact between minoxidil and pets is crucial, so applying the treatment in a controlled and clean environment is a must. Strategies like washing hands immediately after application, avoiding rubbing your face against pillows, and monitoring pets’ behavior around you can help mitigate risks. Consistency is another key factor. Just as the brows took years of damage, regrowth will take time—often weeks to months of regular application before noticeable improvements. Monitoring progress and documenting changes helps stay motivated during what can feel like a slow process. Additionally, supplementing minoxidil with good skincare, balanced nutrition, and gentle brow care (avoiding further plucking or harsh treatments) supports healthier hair follicles. Staying cautious with chemicals and prioritizing natural regrowth aids can complement the journey. This personal exploration into repairing ’90s eyebrow damage with minoxidil serves as a hopeful reminder that with patience and proper care, it’s possible to move from eyebrow bankruptcy to a fuller, natural look. Sharing ongoing progress and tips encourages others on a similar path to embrace realistic expectations and prioritize safety for themselves and their furry friends.
