Okay, so we've had a blast imagining what Gale's Google search history would look like, right? But honestly, if BG3 characters had Google, can you even imagine the chaos and hilarity? I mean, Gale is just the tip of the iceberg! I got so into this idea that I started brainstorming what other companions would be typing into their search bars, and I just had to share. First up, my favorite vampire spawn, Astarion. We all know he loves looking good and probably has a few existential crises. So, I picture his searches being a mix of vanity and deep-seated trauma. Things like, 'Best sun-proof cloaks for vampires,' 'How to remove ghoul stains from silk,' 'Is it normal to feel empty after 200 years?' and 'Can you romance a god?' – especially after certain events! Oh, and 'Ethical ways to get blood,' because deep down, he's trying, right? Then there's Shadowheart. Her search history would be a journey of self-discovery, probably with a lot of deleted entries. 'Shar's teachings explained for beginners,' 'Hair conditioner for dark hair,' 'Symptoms of memory loss trauma,' 'How to tell if your deity is gaslighting you,' and a secret one: 'Pictures of cute wolves.' I bet she’d also look up, 'Are githyanki secretly adorable?' after spending time with Lae'zel. Speaking of Lae'zel, hers would be incredibly practical and probably quite aggressive. 'Fastest way to get to a Githyanki creche,' 'How to properly execute a mind flayer,' 'Best melee weapons for githyanki warriors,' 'Is affection a sign of weakness?' and 'Githyanki etiquette for dealing with inferiors.' I can almost hear her scoffing at the search results. And my fiery favorite, Karlach! Her searches would be so wholesome and heartbreaking all at once. 'Infernal engine repair shops near Baldur's Gate,' 'How to hug without incinerating someone,' 'Best places for a cold dip in Faerûn,' 'Is it possible to retire from fighting?' and 'Demon-free vacation spots.' She deserves all the good things, even reliable search results. Wyll, the Blade of Frontiers, would be all about heroism and dealing with consequences. 'How to break a pact with a devil without turning into a imp,' 'Most heroic deeds in history,' 'Charisma boosting tips,' 'Am I a good person if I messed up once?' and 'What's the best way to impress a duke's daughter?' He's trying to be a good guy, bless his heart. Even our grumpy companion Halsin might have a few interesting searches: 'Natural remedies for spiritual corruption,' 'Best ways to commune with nature in a city,' 'How to politely ask someone to stop sacrificing animals,' and 'Bear puns that aren't too cheesy.' And Minthara? Oh, she'd be looking up 'Dominance strategies for Drows,' 'How to subjugate a goblin camp efficiently,' and 'Are mind flayers secretly weak to hugs?' (Just kidding... mostly.) It's just so much fun to think about these characters in a modern context. It really makes you appreciate their personalities and struggles even more.
