... Read moreIn my personal journey with healing, I realized that the biggest breakthrough wasn’t about changing who I was but about reconnecting with the parts of myself I had buried under years of self-doubt and external pressures. Often, life convinces us that our emotions—and the ways we express them—are 'too much,' but embracing that sensitivity has been crucial for my mental well-being. I learned that true healing involves recognizing and honoring the version of yourself that has always been resilient, compassionate, and genuine, even if life’s challenges made you forget her. For example, dealing with overthinking and people-pleasing habits can feel overwhelming, but instead of “fixing” these traits, approaching them with kindness and understanding creates a safe space for growth. This perspective shifted my relationship with self-worth and self-care. Protecting my peace now means affirming that I am enough as I am, not less or different. The idea that healing is about remembrance rather than transformation helped me release the harsh self-judgment I held. Through this process, I've found that healing journeys flourish when we allow ourselves quiet moments of stillness to reconnect, reflect, and reaffirm who we truly are. It’s a gentle reminder that beneath the fatigue and anxiety is the authentic self—a woman (or man) whole and worthy of love and peace. Embracing this truth can transform your mental wellbeing and foster genuine self-compassion.
