What I Wish I Packed for My Brother’s Labor Day
✨ Girls, let me put you ON because I was NOT ready for this. ✨
So boom. My brother had a baby, and I pulled up to the hospital thinking it was gonna be like the movies… WRONG. 😭 I was in there for HOURS, unprepared, uncomfortable, and regretting everything. So let me save you the stress and tell you what you actually need to pack when someone you love is having a baby! 👶🏽💖
💼 Your Supporting Cast Hospital Bag Checklist:
👚 A Change of Clothes – Think sweats, leggings, & an oversized hoodie. You’re gonna be there way longer than you think, and you do NOT want to be stuck in jeans.
🔌 A Charger (Or Two) – I forgot mine, and I am currently writing this on 15% like a fool. 🫠 Bring an extra long charger because outlets play hide-and-seek in hospitals.
💻 iPad/Laptop + Headphones – It’s NOISY. Nurses, monitors, random beeping sounds—it’s A LOT. 🎧 You’ll have so much downtime, so bring your devices and be productive (or just watch Netflix 👀).
🍫 SNACKS. BRING SNACKS. – No one tells you this, but people will not bring snacks, and when they see yours, they will want some. 🫢 Pack extra so you’re not stuck sharing your one granola bar with a whole family.
💄 Lip Gloss (Because Duh) – At the end of the day, we’re girls. 💅🏽 You’ll want to look cute for your first impression with the baby—because let’s be real, aunties need to slay too. 💖✨
🛏️ A Small Blanket & Pillow – Hospital chairs? Unforgiving. 😵💫 If you even THINK about catching a nap, bring something cozy. Trust me, your back will thank you.
💌 Save this for later, because trust me, YOU WILL NEED IT.
