The little details to bring it all together

I’ve started the kids art corner and I’ll put up some more soon.

I’m signing the kids up for summer school to get a head start on the next school yr and to keep them mostly in routine. July is a free month “summer” so we’ll do a ton during it but I don’t want them stuck at home.

But the little details that make our room feel pretty and adorable. 🥹

Not doing hair atm and when I do I’ll be in a booth using others things so these are now just cause I can and I love it 🥹

It’s amazing how little decorative touches, like colorful storage bins or personalized labels, instantly make the room feel welcoming and adorable — not just a functional space but one that sparks creativity. When it comes to summer, balancing fun and routine can be challenging. Signing kids up for summer school is a smart approach; it helps maintain a structured schedule and keeps their minds engaged without overwhelming them. I find that mixing educational activities with plenty of outdoor play during the 'free' summer month helps prevent cabin fever and keeps the energy positive. On days where errands or routines take precedence, I sometimes skip hair styling altogether, embracing a more relaxed vibe at home. It’s refreshing to just enjoy those moments without the pressure to keep up appearances, especially knowing that when I do style hair again, it will be in a professional setting where I can focus on the craft. Overall, it’s the combination of thoughtful details and thoughtful scheduling that brings everything together — creating a nurturing environment that supports both creativity and growth in children while easing parental stress.
