... Read moreAs a mother raising a son without his father, I’ve come to realize the deep impact that unwavering support can have on a child’s development and sense of security. While the absence of a dad can create unique challenges, it also opens a door to grow a special, resilient bond that is built on love and commitment. From my own experience, showing up consistently for my son has meant more than just fulfilling daily responsibilities; it’s about being emotionally present and actively nurturing his interests and dreams. For example, I make the effort to attend his football games, celebrate his achievements, and listen attentively to his concerns, which all contribute to building his confidence. The idea that his dad is always watching over him offers reassurance and comfort to both of us. I share that message often to help him feel connected to his father’s memory and love, reinforcing his identity and self-worth. Parenting a fatherless child also means seeking out community and support among other parents who understand the unique dynamics of single parenthood. Connecting through shared experiences, especially in groups like #boymom and #footballmom communities, has been invaluable for encouragement and ideas. Ultimately, my hope is that my son knows he is never alone and that my support will carry him through whatever life throws his way. By combining emotional strength, presence, and love, motherhood in this context is both a challenge and a profound privilege.

I stopped working out my back, heres why...
Working out my lats has made my upper body look wider, which wasn’t exactly what I was going for. While I like the strength they add, I’m realizing that if I want a slimmer look, I might want to ease up on lat-focused exercises. Instead, I could focus more on full-body workouts and cardio to help w
