When managing acne, especially on dry skin, it's crucial to strike a balance between treating blemishes and maintaining moisture. From my experience, layering your skincare carefully can make a big difference. Starting with a hypochlorous acid face mist is a gentle yet effective way to disinfect your skin without stripping natural oils, helping to prevent further breakouts. Following that, using a serum containing acne-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid and mandelic acid helps clean pores and reduce inflammation. Mandelic acid, in particular, is mild and exfoliates without causing excessive dryness, which makes it ideal for sensitive or dry skin types. Choosing a moisturizer that hydrates deeply yet doesn’t clog pores or irritate sensitive skin is another game-changer. Ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and vitamin C found in certain formulations restore skin barrier function and soothe irritation while keeping the skin supple. For stubborn spots, pimple patches infused with salicylic acid and hydrating agents provide targeted treatment that promotes healing while protecting blemishes from external irritants. Consistently following this routine helped me achieve clearer skin without flare-ups or excessive dryness. It's all about gentle care combined with effective acne-fighting ingredients, especially when your skin leans dry. If you're experimenting with acne products, always patch test new products and listen to your skin's needs.
