Check your circle—it may explain why you’re not growing.🤔🤔🤔
Take a moment and look at the people closest to you. Do they encourage your growth, celebrate your progress, correct you with love, and push you toward purpose?
Not everyone around you has to think like you—but the people closest to you should not keep pulling you back into the version of yourself that God is helping you outgrow.
Some relationships water you. Others drain you.
Today, ask yourself: Am I surrounded by like-minded people who help me grow—or people who are comfortable with me staying the same?
Choose your circle wisely. Your environment matters. 🌱
Reflecting on my own experience, I realized that my growth plateaued during periods when I spent most of my time with people who were resistant to change or complacent with their current state. Over time, those relationships subtly influenced me to stay within my comfort zone rather than pursue new goals or personal development opportunities. What helped me break through was purposely seeking out and engaging with individuals who shared similar ambitions or values, even if their outlook differed from mine. For example, joining a local mastermind group and online communities focused on self-improvement pushed me to adopt new habits and expand my perspectives. Also, I learned the importance of receiving constructive feedback with an open mind. Genuine friends who correct you with kindness can be invaluable, as they provide the motivation and guidance needed to grow. On the other hand, relationships that constantly criticize without support or dismiss your aspirations tend to drain energy. Incorporating these lessons, I became more intentional about evaluating who I spend time with and setting boundaries where necessary. It’s empowering to recognize that your environment shapes your mindset and trajectory—choose your circle wisely for sustainable growth and fulfillment.
