This week, I’m learning to trust God with my yes.🦋

This week during my Bible study, I’m reading about obedience. Obedience isn’t simply following rules—it’s trusting God’s wisdom and putting our love for Him into action.

My prayer is that I won’t just hear His Word, but that I’ll have a willing and joyful heart to live it. 🙏🏽📖

Read moreDuring my journey of learning to trust God with my yes, I've discovered that obedience is much more than simply following rules—it is an active, heartfelt response to God's love and wisdom. In practical terms, obedience requires a willing and joyful heart, not reluctant compliance. For example, reflecting on the scripture John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commands," helped me see obedience as an expression of love rather than a burden. I've found that true obedience involves both knowing God's will and putting it into action. Like a musician who must understand the music to play harmoniously, we must both study God's Word and actively live it out. Obedience opens the door to experiencing God's best for our lives by aligning our desires with His perfect plan. One of the greatest challenges I've faced in this faith walk is maintaining obedience despite opposing cultural pressures. Acts 5:29 reminds us that we must obey God rather than human beings. This means standing firm in faith, even if it means going against popular opinion or societal norms. It requires courage but also deep trust that God’s wisdom surpasses all. Learning to trust God with my yes has strengthened my relationship with Him, transforming obedience from a duty into a joyful expression of love. It is this willingness to say yes to God's leading that nurtures spiritual growth and blessing. I encourage anyone on a similar path to pray for a heart that desires to hear and live God's Word daily, trusting that obedience is the genuine demonstration of love and faith.
