To go topside or not to go topside!

... Read moreHey fellow gamers, or even those of you out there wondering if diving into a new game is a good idea at all! I'm here to share my personal journey with Arc Raiders, a game I’ve poured over 277 hours into. Like many of you, I sometimes hit a point where I question, 'Is this really a real app? Is this game truly worth the grind, or am I just... playing games?' My 'POV: DECIDING IF ARC IS WORTH THE GRIND TONIGHT...' is a constant one. We all know that feeling of wanting to jump back in, but also the nagging thought about the sheer 'PLAY TIME' we've already dedicated. When you see that '277.6 hours' on the clock, it's a significant chunk of life, right? It makes you step back and ask: what am I really getting out of this? For those of you who might be searching 'don't play games,' perhaps you're feeling burnt out, or you're trying to figure out if gaming is a worthwhile hobby. My experience with Arc Raiders perfectly illustrates this dilemma. On one hand, there's the thrill of the hunt, the teamwork, and the promise of 'REGULAR UPDATE' content that keeps you hooked. The 'Community Hub' is buzzing with other players, sharing strategies and experiences, which definitely adds to the appeal. There’s a certain satisfaction in mastering the mechanics and feeling like you’re part of something bigger. However, after so many hours, the 'grind' can sometimes feel less like an adventure and more like a chore. You start to question if the dopamine hits are still as potent, or if you're just playing out of habit. This is where the core question of 'Vould you recommend this game?' truly comes in. For me, it's a mixed bag. The game has its moments, but the extensive 'play time' really highlights the commitment required. So, if you're on the fence about picking up Arc Raiders, or any game that demands a lot of your time, consider what you want to get out of it. Are you looking for a deep, long-term commitment, or something more casual? Do you thrive on the 'grind,' or does repetitive gameplay wear you down? Sometimes, even after hundreds of hours, we have to be honest with ourselves about whether a game is still bringing us joy, or if it's time to step back. It’s okay to acknowledge that sometimes, even a game you've invested heavily in might not be 'worth the grind' for you anymore. It's all about finding that personal balance.
