NEW DRINK @ STARBS 🌟

I got the Iced Non Dairy Salted Caramel Cookie Matcha Latte and it’s…. Pretty good! The salted caramel cold foam is so good but when it’s gone it’s just a matcha latte with oat milk. And I mean… if that’s your thing then go head, but I’m not a HUGE matcha girly.

Also the girl had to call in help from the back because she didn’t even know what the abbreviations meant so it took like 15 minutes to make bc they had to prep nondairy cold foam.

I ordered it again today and they didn’t include the cookie crumbles so… idk, they’re still learning it. Maybe wait a little before you order it yourself! 🤎

... Read moreOkay, so you're eyeing that new Iced Non-Dairy Salted Caramel Cookie Matcha Latte from Starbucks, right? I totally get it – the name alone sounds like a dream! I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what makes this drink tick, especially since my first couple of tries had some interesting moments and I've picked up some tips. First off, let's talk about the stars of the show. The Salted Caramel Cold Foam? Absolutely divine. It's creamy, perfectly sweet with that hint of salt, and really elevates the whole experience. Honestly, that non-dairy cold foam is probably the MVP here, especially if you're like me and not always a huge matcha fan. From what I've seen and experienced, this non-dairy version is a game-changer for those avoiding dairy, and it's fantastic to see Starbucks offering more options! Now, the Matcha Latte base. The article mentioned it's a standard matcha latte with oat milk once the foam is gone. If you love matcha, you'll probably enjoy it! For me, it was good, but definitely the cold foam is what makes it special. If you're on the fence about matcha, don't let it deter you from trying the drink for the foam alone. You could even ask for less matcha pumps if you want a milder flavor, or perhaps add a pump of vanilla or chai to complement it. And those Cookie Crumbles! They're supposed to be that delightful textural crunch on top. My experience included an instance where they were missing, which can be a bit disappointing when you're expecting that extra touch. It just goes to show that with new drinks, sometimes the baristas are still getting the hang of all the components. Don't be afraid to politely ask if they can add them if you notice they're missing. Pro-tip for ordering: Remember how the staff had to call for help and prep the non-dairy cold foam? This is a really important detail! Because it's a new, specialized ingredient, it might take a little longer for them to prepare, especially during peak hours. If you're in a rush, maybe hold off, or order ahead on the app. Being patient and understanding that they're still learning the ropes with these new, often 'Dairy Free' innovations can really make a difference in your experience and theirs. Ordering via the app can also help ensure all components, like the non-dairy salted caramel cold foam and cookie crumbles, are properly requested and added. **Customization Ideas to make it your perfect drink: Less Matcha: If the matcha flavor is too strong for you, ask for fewer scoops or pumps of matcha. Extra Cold Foam: If you adore the salted caramel cold foam as much as I did, ask for extra! It's worth it. Add Espresso: For a coffee kick, try adding a shot or two of blonde espresso. It can create a 'dirty matcha' vibe with a caramel twist. Different Milk: While it comes with oat milk, you could potentially ask for almond or soy if you prefer. Syrup Boost:** A pump of hazelnut or white mocha could add another layer of flavor if you're feeling adventurous, though I'd stick to the original for the first try. Overall, my initial '8/10' rating still holds, largely thanks to that incredible cold foam and the novelty of a new 'Dairy Free' option. Just be prepared for a potential wait and double-check your order for all those yummy cookie crumbles!
