exciting newssss, after 11 months, my fiance and i are finally moving out of my moms house and into our own apartment in Fells Point 😻😻😻😻😻
this is moving weekend!! on Sunday 9/15 we will be independent adults (with kitty) again! this is such an exciting time , yall omg!
so last year in August 2023 bae and i lost our apartment due to our drug addiction and poor financial planning. we ended up moving back with my mom in October 2023. originally only intended to stay with her until , like, January 2024? .. but then i quit my job in December, due to poor mental health…, then struggled more with joblessness and addiction shjt.
been clean almost 7 months now! still struggling to keep a job, but progress being made. finding my way, to a career that is for me (that’s a topic for a different post tho, lol!)
sooooo proud thooo! my bae and i had to work HARD to get our new place in the city! it’s in the NICE (gentrified lol) part of bmore too. walking distance from the inner harbor & surrounded by cute local shops… walkable city ♡ in unit washer & dryer, two FULL bathrooms… an exposed brick wall….
most importantly, a place for us to shelter ourselves. a place for us to grow, a place for us to raise our kitty Tuna. Tuna is not a fan of other cats being in a home with her, and the past year she’s moved twice with us, each to a house that has other cats.. she hasn’t been able to live her best, fullest life, and one of the cats (my moms evil stray that she lets inside) has actually attacked tuna twice now:(. i am ashamed as hell for not being able to provide her the living situation she deserves, BUT NOW we finally get to do that again!! Tuna will have her own home :,) again ♡ i can’t wait to see how happy she is, scurrying her big booty thru the new place, finally safe at last.
♡ i’m unbelievably grateful my momma let not only me, but also my fiance, and daughter (tuna) in to her home for the past almost year. without her assistance we wouldn’t have been able to get back on our feet at all… at all. it’s been TOUGH at times since my mom and i have a complex relationship. but we made it work and i will always be grateful for her ♡
