canon ivy mini photo printer review 🌸
overall rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
price: $70 (includes printer + charger + one pack of zink photo paper)
I honestly love stickers so the fact that I can turn any photo I love into a sticker is so cool to me 🥹 will be using it for my journaling + scrapbooking 🫶🏼
I’m super happy I decided to buy this little printer because of how easy it is to use and because of the good quality prints!! keep in mind how I said good, not great though, some I feel like some of my photos printed a little better than others but nothing crazy bad
i don’t think the instructions tells you how to put in the photo paper and it took me a hot sec to figure it out I can’t lie, but I realized it was easier than I thought!! i did have to search up how though
the app allows you to set an auto power off mode after 3, 5, or 10 minutes of not using. however I find that it does run out of battery pretty quickly, if the battery life was longer I probably would’ve given this 5/5 stars!!

My experience with the Canon Ivy Mini Photo Printer's prints has been a journey! While I mentioned they're 'good, not great,' let me elaborate. I've found that getting the best results often depends on the original photo's lighting and clarity. Sometimes, my prints came out a little darker than they appeared on my phone screen, which was a con pointed out in the OCR. A little trick I learned is to lightly edit photos on my phone to be slightly brighter before sending them to print. This makes a noticeable difference, especially for those cute journal spreads where every detail counts! The peel-and-stick photo features are genuinely a game-changer though. It's not just for scrapbooking; I've used them to label my planner sections, customize my laptop, and even make tiny temporary decals for gifts. The instant gratification of having a sticker version of your favorite memory is truly addictive! Now, about that battery life – it's probably my biggest gripe, and something the OCR also highlighted as 'quick battery drain'. While the printer is super portable, perfect for throwing in my bag, I always make sure it's fully charged before heading out. It charges relatively quickly, but if you're planning a long scrapbooking session or a photo booth at a party, bring a power bank! The auto-power off feature (3, 5, or 10 minutes via the app) helps conserve energy, but it still feels like it drains faster than I'd like. For a portable photo printer like this Canon Ivy Mini Printer, a longer battery would really push it to 5 stars. Speaking of ease of use, getting the paper in was a bit of a head-scratcher initially, even though the overall Canon Ivy Mini Photo Printer experience is super straightforward. If you're struggling like I did, remember the blue smart sheet needs to go face down at the bottom of the stack, with the Canon logo facing up. It's much simpler than I thought once I figured it out! The second generation aspect usually means improvements, and I definitely feel this version is user-friendly once you get past that first paper load. For those eyeing the Canon Ivy Mini Photo Printer rose gold or any other color like the pink portable photo printer, know that the functionality is identical across all shades. It's purely a style choice! What truly makes this mini photo printer special is its ability to bridge the gap between digital memories and tangible keepsakes. Whether you're into journaling, scrapbooking, or just love having physical copies of your favorite moments, this device offers a fun, instant way to bring your photos to life. It's not a professional photo lab, but for quick, personal prints that become stickers, it's a fantastic little gadget that sparks creativity. One last thing: don't forget to keep your Zink paper refills handy! They're specifically designed for this printer and really help maintain the print quality. It's been such a joy integrating this little device into my daily creative routine, turning fleeting digital moments into lasting, tangible memories. It’s a small investment for a big dose of fun and personalization!
