Food bank haul!
between helping my grandpa with cooking and cleaning (including providing most of the food and supplies) my sons diabetes expenses, and trying to build my business from the ground up via bootstrapping (no loans or investor just me and my sewing and craft supplies, home gym supplies and my laptop) the foodbank has been absolutely a blessing. We don’t qualify for foodstamps if my husband gets any overtime at all so we just don’t bother with them and leave that for the people who really truy need it. Thank you, volunteers and location hosts!!! You rock!!!! #appreciationpost #utahfoodbank #frugalmom #wellnessjourney
Navigating the challenges of managing a family with varied needs, including my son's diabetes expenses, alongside building a business from scratch has been a demanding yet deeply rewarding journey. Utilizing resources like the Utah food bank has made a substantial difference in easing daily pressures, especially when traditional assistance programs like food stamps are unavailable due to income fluctuations such as my husband's overtime. The food bank haul often includes a mix of healthy and convenient items like fresh tomatoes, Baby Bella mushrooms, electrolyte waters, and nutritious snacks such as Goldfish and crisps. These staples help maintain a balanced diet without compromising budget constraints. What I truly appreciate is how these contributions support my wellness journey and enable me to focus more energy on growing my sewing and craft business without the constant worry of grocery expenses. Volunteering and donation efforts behind food banks deserve all the recognition, as they empower families like mine to maintain dignity and health. Sharing my story underlines how community resources can be a lifeline, especially for those bootstrapping ventures while juggling caregiving and financial hurdles. For anyone in a similar boat, I encourage you to explore local food bank options—they might just be the blessing you need. The practical benefits extend beyond just the food. It offers peace of mind, better focus on business and personal goals, and the feeling of not being alone in tough times. Thanks to all the volunteers and hosts who work tirelessly to keep these programs running; your efforts genuinely rock and inspire gratitude in many hearts like mine.
