Why I smile so much🥺

My dental journey has been a long one over the last 20+ years. As much as I’ve been through it makes me more emotional looking back at what I went through to be here. It shouldn’t be so hard. But when it is I just want you to remember to smile anyway. Don’t hold ourself back. Don’t shrink. Don’t be ashamed. No matter what part of the journey you’re in you deserve to be happy & know you are WORTH whatever it takes to get to a better place!! One day at a time. One day you’ll look back & thank her for not giving up😮‍💨 #dentaljourney #dentalstory #teethtok #princessglitterhead #whyismile

Many people face similar struggles involving procedures such as canal treatments, metal partial dentures, snap-in removable dentures, and mini implants. For those who have endured the pain of tooth abscesses causing swelling that can even mimic sinus problems, the journey to recovery is often long and taxing. One crucial aspect of managing this journey is mental resilience and self-compassion. It’s easy to feel self-conscious when dealing with visible dental problems or when using appliances like two-piece bridges or removable snap-in dentures. Many find themselves hesitant to smile or engage socially, yet maintaining a positive mindset and remembering that you are WORTH the effort can make a significant difference. Dental technology has advanced, offering options like immediate load snap-in dentures which allow patients to regain function and appearance more quickly than before. Despite setbacks like broken teeth – even from everyday moments like a simple kiss involving a Hershey’s or a KISS chocolate – the will to move forward is what counts. Connecting with supportive communities such as those found on social media platforms like TikTok and forums tagged #dentaljourney and #teethtok provides encouragement and shared experiences. Users often document their progress, strategies for coping with pain, and tips for managing dental appliances. Ultimately, this journey underscores the importance of patience, persistence, and self-love. Taking it one day at a time and celebrating small victories can empower anyone facing long-term dental challenges to continue smiling, no matter what stage they are at in their treatment.
