💔 What really causes disease!

3/3 Edited to

... Read moreFrom my personal journey exploring various diets, what stands out most is the profound impact that controlling blood sugar and insulin levels has on overall health. Many chronic illnesses, including heart disease, diabetes, and dementia, can be traced back to metabolic problems caused by consistently high insulin and blood sugar levels. One key takeaway is that relying heavily on carbohydrates—even those from fruits and vegetables—can cause repeated spikes in blood sugar. This leads to chronic insulin elevation, which research shows is toxic and damaging to organs such as the ovaries, brain, and cardiovascular system. For example, PCOS and Alzheimer’s have strong links to metabolic dysfunction. Switching to a low-carb or carnivore diet helped me reduce the need for frequent insulin spikes by shifting the body from burning carbs to burning fats for energy. Eating fewer meals with a minimal insulin response each time has been a game-changer for maintaining stable blood sugar and reducing inflammation. This approach not only supports weight management but also targets the root causes of metabolic syndrome and chronic diseases. The misconception that plant-based, low-fat diets automatically ensure health is worth questioning. Often, removing fat from processed foods leads to added sugars, which can worsen blood sugar control. Embracing fat as a primary energy source while limiting carbs helps create a metabolic state that is less prone to the harmful effects of high insulin. Incorporating these dietary principles has improved my energy levels, kidney and liver function markers, and overall well-being. However, it’s important to recognize that individual responses vary, and consulting healthcare professionals before making significant changes is essential. Ultimately, understanding the metabolic roots of disease can empower better health choices and potentially extend quality of life.
