If you're like me and enjoy a rich, creamy iced coffee to start the day, butter iced coffee is an exciting option to try. I personally love using cold brew concentrate because it offers a strong coffee flavor without the bitterness that some hot brews can have. Adding butter might sound unusual, but it creates a silky texture and adds healthy fats that can boost energy and keep you full longer. One tip I’ve learned is to use unsalted, high-quality butter, preferably grass-fed, to maximize flavor and nutritional benefits. When blending, be mindful not to overheat the coffee, as very hot coffee can sometimes affect the flavor negatively. Warming it slightly before blending helps the butter melt smoothly without cooking the coffee. I often alternate between the two methods described. At home, I warm the iced coffee gently and melt the butter separately before blending, which gives me a really smooth and creamy drink. But at work, when time is limited, I blend hot coffee directly with room temperature butter, which is quicker and still delicious. This butter iced coffee fits well into low-carb or keto diets, as it adds fats without carbs. Plus, it can serve as a satisfying alternative to traditional creamers. You can customize this recipe by adding a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla extract for an extra flavor boost. Personally, I find that this drink gives me steady energy and keeps me feeling full far longer than regular iced coffee with milk or sugar. For those exploring carnivore or animal-based diets, this recipe fits perfectly, as it uses butter and coffee without any plant-based additives. Incorporating such drinks can make your routine more enjoyable and sustainable. Overall, give butter iced coffee a try if you want to upgrade your iced coffee experience with creamy richness and satisfying taste.
