While my original post was just a quick hello, there’s so much more to being an 'Aster furry' than just an intro! You might be wondering, what exactly does a fursuit maker do? Well, it's a super hands-on and creative process! It starts with an idea, a character concept, which I'll sketch out, sometimes digitally, sometimes traditionally. Then comes the pattern making, which is a bit like sculpting with foam to create the base shape of the head, paws, and feet. After that, it's all about bringing the character to life with fur – I spend hours meticulously cutting and sewing faux fur pieces to get that perfect look. Details like eyes, teeth, and claws often involve resin casting or other techniques. For example, my own personal fursuit, a vibrant blue and white creation, has those distinctive large ears and piercing yellow eyes, and yes, a cute little horn! Crafting it was such a journey, from sketching the initial design (often while just chilling in a comfy t-shirt and checkered shorts) to seeing the whole thing come alive. Beyond just making suits, the furry fandom itself is a huge part of my life. It's an amazing global community built around anthropomorphic animal characters. It's a space for incredible creativity, self-expression, and connecting with like-minded people. It’s not just about wearing a fursuit; it encompasses art, storytelling, music, and so much more. I love how supportive and imaginative everyone is! And yes, I do run an Etsy shop! It's an extension of my passion, allowing me to share my art with a wider audience. In my shop, you can find smaller, handmade items like custom character badges, adorable paw keychains, or even get a commission for a unique character design. It's a dream come true to turn my hobbies into something I can share and that others can enjoy. My interests extend beyond just furry stuff, too. Games like Minecraft and FNAF, or stories like MLP and NITW, definitely influence my artistic style and character concepts.
