✨️I was craving Cinnamon Rolls so bad! 👩🏻‍🍳

I'm still working on my video editing skills 😜 but I was seriously craving some cinnamon rolls the other day.

This recipe uses my standard bread dough recipe (see my profile for that video). when you get to the point that you're ready for a second rise, it's time to roll out the dought.

Then, brush with melted butter. Mix 130g of brown sugar + 15g of cinnamon together (this part comes from Fresh Milled Mama's recipe. it's a good ratio, IMO).

Then, I find it way easier and cleaner to cut them with a pizza cutter (as seen in the video) and then roll them up. Cutting after they're rolled up makes a squished mess. This works better for me.

Place them in a seasoned skillet or greased 9x13 pan and let them rise about 30 to 1 hour.

Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°F. These are delicious as is, but you could mix up some powdered sugar and milk for a good icing. Enjoy! 🤗

... Read moreWhile there are so many amazing cinnamon roll recipes out there, including popular ones that get a lot of buzz, I truly believe nothing beats the warmth and comfort of a batch of homemade cinnamon rolls straight from your own oven. Like many of you, I've tried various versions, always on the hunt for 'The Best Cinnamon Rolls' – that perfect balance of fluffy dough, gooey cinnamon swirl, and a decadent topping. My recipe, which I've shared, is my personal go-to, but I've picked up some fantastic tips along the way that can elevate any homemade cinnamon roll experience. For instance, achieving that incredibly soft, pillowy dough is key. If you're using a standard bread dough, make sure it's well-kneaded and has had sufficient time to rise. Over-proofing can lead to a yeasty flavor, while under-proofing can result in dense rolls. I always check for the 'poke test' – gently press a finger into the dough; if the indentation slowly springs back, it's ready. Beyond the dough, the filling is where the magic truly happens! While my current ratio of brown sugar and cinnamon is a winner, don't be afraid to experiment. A pinch of nutmeg or cardamom can add another layer of warm spice. Some people love a hint of orange zest in their filling for a brighter flavor profile, or even a few chopped pecans or walnuts for texture. And let's not forget the icing! While a simple powdered sugar and milk glaze is delicious, a tangy cream cheese frosting takes these rolls to the next level for many. To make one, simply beat together 4 oz softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1-2 tablespoons of milk until smooth and creamy. It's truly a game-changer! For busy mornings, homemade cinnamon rolls can still be a reality. You can prepare the rolls up to the second rise, then cover them tightly and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, just pull them out, let them come to room temperature for about 30-60 minutes, and then bake as usual. This make-ahead tip is a lifesaver for holiday breakfasts or weekend treats. No matter which recipe you follow or what variations you try, the joy of baking and sharing homemade cinnamon rolls is unmatched. They truly are the ultimate cozy treat!
