Influencers Pt 2.

... Read moreContinuing from my last post on being a Christian influencer, I wanted to dive deeper into the how and why so many of us, especially women, feel called to share our faith online. It's not always glamorous, and frankly, sometimes it feels like you're 'banging heads' with people who have a very traditional view of ministry. But that's where the heart of it lies for me – understanding that 'the calling comes from God not from man.' For any of you out there who are 'girls doing content' – whether it's about faith, lifestyle, or anything else you're passionate about – you know the unique challenges. There's the pressure to be authentic yet polished, to preach Christ without being preachy, and to stay true to your beliefs in a constantly evolving digital space. I've found Philippians 1:15-18 to be such a powerful reminder here: 'Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, some also from goodwill... What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice.' This scripture really frees me to focus on the message, even when motivations around me might be mixed, or when I face criticism from those who don't understand 'this move of God.' So, how do we, as Christian influencers, create impact? For me, it starts with prayer and staying grounded in the Word. Then, it's about finding my unique voice. Don't be afraid to be yourself! Your experiences, your struggles, and your triumphs are what make your content relatable and powerful. I've learned that consistency is key, but so is grace – for yourself and for your audience. It's not about perfection, it's about genuine connection and sharing truth. Think about topics that genuinely resonate with you and your faith journey. Maybe it's about navigating daily life as a believer, sharing devotionals, or discussing tricky theological concepts in an accessible way. The beauty of platforms like Lemon8 is the space it gives us to explore these avenues authentically. Another practical tip I've embraced is building community. Connect with other Christian content creators. Share ideas, support each other, and learn from different perspectives. This has been invaluable for me, as it combats feelings of isolation and provides a network for growth. Sometimes, seeing how others, like Jeff Refuerzo, approach their ministry can offer fresh insights and encouragement. Remember, the goal is always to uplift, encourage, and point people towards Christ, regardless of the platform or the 'traditionalist' views you might encounter. It's about letting God use your unique gifts and your digital presence for His glory. Keep creating, keep sharing, and keep trusting in that divine calling!
