Make it happen.
My peoples
Time waits for no one. Today we celebrate another birthday for one of my little ones. She turned 3 years old, just like that. Time flies.
I spent all day at the park, talking with young parents. It took me back to my young dad days. And I have to say this from the heart today’s dads amaze me. They are present. They listen. They play. They love out loud.
My generation was different. We tried to be tough. Cool. Quiet. Truth is… many of us didn’t know how to be parents. We didn’t have good examples to follow. I know I didn’t. We were learning as we went.
That’s why I say this now, as a father and a grandfather make the time. No matter how tired you are. No matter how busy life gets.
Your kids need you.
Your grandkids need you.
They won’t remember the long days at work, They will remember you being there.
Hold them. Play with them. Talk to them. Love them hard.
Time moves fast. Don’t let it pass you by. Let’s go make amazing things happen today. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

In today’s fast-paced world, the importance of truly being present in the lives of our children and grandchildren cannot be overstated. As highlighted, time moves incredibly quickly—before you know it, children grow up and moments that once seemed endless become cherished memories. Being actively engaged with our kids not only strengthens family bonds but also contributes significantly to their emotional and psychological development. Modern fathers and grandfathers often strive to break away from past generational patterns of emotional distance. Unlike previous generations where 'toughness' and 'quietness' were the norm, today’s dads are more involved—they listen actively, play with enthusiasm, and express their love openly. This positive shift leads to healthier family dynamics and happier children. The message to "make the time" resonates deeply because, amidst busy schedules and fatigue, carving out moments for family shows children they are valued and deeply loved. Kids may not remember late work nights or financial stresses, but they will remember the laughter, conversations, and time spent together. Moreover, engaging in simple acts like holding your child, playing games, or sharing stories nourishes their sense of security and belonging. For grandparents, continuing this presence offers legacy and wisdom that enrich younger generations. It’s a beautiful cycle of support and love that strengthens the whole family. Encouraging #FamilyFirst, #BePresent, #LoveYourKids, and drawing from #GrandfatherWisdom can motivate others to embrace their role fully. Every day is an opportunity to make amazing things happen in the lives we touch—by showing up, loving hard, and appreciating the precious gift of time.
