Your True Colors !
Have you ever heard the saying, “People show their true colors”?
As I get older, I see things a little differently. I don’t always believe people are mean, cold, or trying to hurt others. Many times, I think they are carrying pain that no one can see.
Some people want love, friendship, and to be part of something good. They enjoy being around caring people, but when things start going well, they pull away. They become distant, quiet, or cold. Not because they don’t care, but because deep inside they may feel unworthy of happiness.
They may tell themselves, “I don’t deserve this,” or “These people are too good for me.” So they build walls to protect themselves. Sadly, those same walls keep them from the love, support, and connection they need most.
Many people have never experienced strong, healthy relationships. They may not know how to trust, how to receive kindness, or how to believe that they matter.
Before judging someone, remember that everyone is fighting a battle you cannot see. A little patience, kindness, and understanding can change a person’s life.
Sometimes the coldest people are not full of hate. They are full of hurt.
Let’s lift people up, not tear them down. You never know who is waiting for someone to believe in them. Let’s go make amazing things happen today. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
