Know where you stand
Everyone isn’t for you and the ones that are….. will stand for you when you’re not present. Y’all be safe out in them streets.
In life, understanding where you stand with others can be a profound source of strength. Often, people prioritize popularity and surface-level connections, but real loyalty transcends those fleeting aspects. From my experience, it’s much better to have just one corner person who truly claps for your success, rather than a crowd that’s only interested in attention or popularity. True loyal friends and connections don’t just stick around when it’s convenient—they stand for you even when you’re not present. It’s this sense of genuine care and connection that builds trust and comfort. I’ve learned to appreciate those who hold me down quietly, knowing that their support doesn’t need to be broadcasted to the world. Sometimes, being alone or walking your own path is perfectly fine, especially if your surroundings lack sincerity. It’s okay to choose solitude over fake connections because being surrounded by people who don’t truly have your back can be more isolating than being alone. Safety, both physically and emotionally, comes from those loyal few who are willing to stand with you no matter the circumstances. In a culture that often celebrates surface-level attention and popularity, it’s refreshing and crucial to remember the value of deep, meaningful connections. So, know where you stand, cherish those who stand for you, and be safe in the knowledge that real loyalty is rare but priceless.
