Antique baby crib
A large family had to rush out of their house in 2017, they had 3 days. They left 2 children inside because they had already died. They were terrified the other children would die also not knowing what was happening. They had no neighbors, it’s the Appalachia mountains, so days passed and finally the postman noticed the piling of the mail. He alerted the local police. This town was small, under 100 people. They found both of them and everything left behind or thrown out. The parents and the other children were never found. The father had a pretty bad reputation and personally I did not like him, he was my father’s age but I felt uncomfortable like he was unpredictable. I guess I was right. There was a gas leak in the house and that was the cause and nobody knows if the parents even found out. They were not home owners either, they rented that little house. What stood out to me when i heard and went finally after 2 years had passed from the tragedy, was the baby crib from 1800’s. It is 2026 and it is still on the property. A haunting reminder, and such a tragic ending to an already struggling home.
