Nature will always come back

I tried to do an inspired #prettylittleliars prompt, it’s not too bad! I watched this show every week with my mother, so it holds a dear place in my heart. I rewatched it recently and it’s so crazy how different I view dynamics in the show. I wish I could speak to my mother about it and have her watch it again to see the difference 10 years makes. Knowing her though, she probably won’t ever watch it again because it will be too painful. I miss you mom and I’m sorry 🤍🕊️

When I recently rewatched the series that I used to watch weekly with my mom, I noticed how much my perspective had shifted. The relationships, motivations, and secrets that once seemed straightforward now appeared layered and complex, revealing nuances I hadn’t appreciated before. This change in viewpoint isn’t just about aging; it’s about the life experiences that shape how we interpret stories and characters. Shows like 'Pretty Little Liars' that focus on intricate personal dynamics resonate differently depending on where you are in your own life journey. For me, it sparked a deep sense of nostalgia and memory, especially because my mom and I shared that routine of watching the show together. It felt like revisiting a chapter of my life that was full of warmth and connection. Interestingly, revisiting a beloved show can also be bittersweet, especially when someone close to you might find those memories painful or difficult to revisit. It highlights how entertainment is not just about the story but also the personal and emotional context attached to it. For many, rewatching favorite series might open old wounds or remind them of people they miss, much like my experience. I’ve realized the importance of these shared rituals and how they contribute to our bonds with others, making media consumption a more intimate act. If you’re thinking about rewatching a show that you enjoyed years ago, consider how your life experiences might influence your perception and what you might discover about yourself along the way. Reflecting on these moments can be healing and offer new appreciation for both the art and the people you associate it with.
