¿Por qué la tetina del biberón confunde a tu bebé? La ciencia detrás de la succión.@@
From my experience as a parent, I noticed that the shape and texture of a baby's bottle nipple can significantly affect how easily my baby adapted to bottle feeding. Breastfeeding involves a natural, complex sucking mechanism where the baby latches onto the areola and the nipple protrudes into the mouth in a way that is comfortable and familiar. On the other hand, bottle nipples are often flat or inverted in shape, which requires a different tongue and lip movement. This subtle difference can cause confusion for babies, especially those who are primarily breastfed. Babies need to learn the specific sucking technique for bottle feeding, which takes practice because the bottle nipple often demands less effort to extract milk compared to the breast. This can sometimes lead to a preference for the bottle or difficulty going back to breastfeeding. Understanding this process helped me to patiently support my baby through this learning curve by selecting bottle nipples that are designed to mimic the breast's shape and by practicing feeding routines that encourage similar sucking patterns. This knowledge is crucial for parents who want to ensure their baby’s feeding development is smooth and comfortable.
