DITL as a Personal Trainer 💪

... Read moreIt’s funny how many people ask me, 'So, what do you actually do all day as a personal trainer?' I think there’s a common misconception that it’s just about working out and telling people what to do. While fitness is definitely at the core, a true day in the life of a personal trainer is so much more! It's a blend of passion, planning, and a whole lot of energy. My mornings typically kick off before the sun is fully up. That 'GOOD MORNING READY FOR A BUSY DAY' isn't just a phrase; it's a mantra. It involves a quick but essential personal routine – a few minutes to brush teeth, do hair, makeup, etc., and then getting DRESSED OFC in comfortable but professional activewear. This isn't just about looking good; it's about mentally preparing for the intense day ahead. You need to radiate energy and confidence for your clients, and that starts with feeling put together yourself. Then it's straight into the thick of it. My schedule is a kaleidoscope of client sessions, each one unique. One moment I might be helping someone master their form, the next I’m providing emotional support to someone struggling with their fitness journey. My biggest goal is always to MOTIVATE SOME PPL TO MOVE THEIR BODIES:). It's incredibly rewarding to see that spark in their eyes when they hit a new personal best or finally understand a complex movement. But it's not just about pushing weights; it's about building relationships and fostering a positive mindset towards FITNESS. Beyond the gym floor, there's a significant amount of behind-the-scenes work. There might be an IMPORTANT MEETING with gym management about new programs, or perhaps a quick catch-up with colleagues during a QUICK TEAM MEETING AFTER sessions. A huge part of my day also involves SCHOOL WORK AND PROGRAMMING. This means staying updated on the latest exercise science, nutrition, and coaching methodologies. It also involves meticulously designing personalized workout plans, tracking client progress, and adapting strategies. This 'programming' takes careful thought and time; it's not just off-the-cuff. And what about my own FITNESS? You saw my 'SUPER QUICK LEG DAY' in the timeline – those are crucial! It's a challenge to fit in personal workouts when you're spending all day training others, but it's non-negotiable for me. It helps me stay strong, maintain my own mental clarity, and, frankly, practice what I preach. There are days I come HOME + SOOO HUNGRY + TIREDDD, absolutely exhausted. But then I remember why I do it. Seeing my clients transform, hearing their success stories, and knowing I played a part in their journey makes every single busy, demanding moment worth it. It’s truly DOING WHAT I LOVE AND READY FOR WHAT THE NEW YEAR BRINGS! This career isn't just a job; it's a lifestyle of continuous learning, inspiring others, and constantly pushing myself to be better. It's a demanding but incredibly fulfilling path.
