Spotify is experimenting with a new feature called Prompted Playlist that allows users to create playlists by typing in a description or "Prompt" to tell the system what kind of music they want to listen to.

The idea of the feature is to have listeners, more algorithmically oriented, instead of relying on an automated music recommendation system, by being able to print a variety of descriptions, such as a chili music playlist for a rainy afternoon, music for a morning run, or indie music of interest in recent years.

When instructed, the AI system takes data from Spotify's music library, including the user's listening habits, and analyzes it to create a playlist to match the stated atmosphere or genre.

After that, the user can also adjust the command or refresh the music list so that the system can rearrange the music according to the original guidelines.

The Prompted Playlist feature is still in the Beta test phase and is gradually being opened up to some groups of users to try it out through Spotify's app, which could become another tool that allows music search and playlists to be more upbeat.
