One key lesson I’ve learned on my healing journey is that protecting your energy isn’t about shutting people out—it’s about recognizing your limits and setting healthy boundaries. You are not a therapist for everyone’s trauma, even though it’s natural to want to help. From personal experience, I've noticed that trying to carry others' emotional burdens without proper boundaries often leads to emotional exhaustion and burnout. When I started acknowledging that my peace matters just as much as theirs, I felt more empowered and less drained. Simple practices like saying no when needed, taking time to recharge, and being mindful of who I allow into my mental space have made a huge difference. Protecting your energy also means being selective about what you engage with daily—social media, news, or even certain conversations can impact your mood and mental health. Embracing the mindset of "protect yo energy" helps cultivate resilience and reduces unnecessary stress. Remember, setting boundaries isn’t selfish; it’s essential for your well-being. By doing so, you create space to heal and grow without the weight of other people’s unresolved pain. This approach allowed me to maintain inner peace and focus on my growth, which I believe anyone can benefit from on their own healing path.
