Sharing our paint codes and laminates!

I thought I'd compile the various paint, laminate and tile codes in this post. We generally kept it quite similar across the home for a more consistent look.

Disclaimer: every colour and material selection will look different in different homes, depending on your external environment in which light bounces off, and your light fixtures too. We are using 3k warm white lighting through the house with CRI of 90 too.

Hope this helps!

... Read moreWhen selecting paint and laminate codes for a home inspired by Japandi and minimalism, consistency is key to achieving that serene, cohesive ambiance. From my experience, sticking to a coordinated palette like the one shared—featuring Bonito Flakes by Nippon, Ibiza Nogal laminates, and Salt Microcement—is essential. These neutral and muted tones adapt beautifully to different lighting conditions, especially when paired with warm white 3k lighting that has a high CRI, around 90, which ensures colors look vibrant and natural. It’s also important to consider how natural light interacts with these surfaces. For example, Bonito Flakes’ soft, warm undertones complement natural oak blush flooring, creating a calm foundation. In contrast, the Ibiza Nogal laminate offers a subtle wood grain texture that adds warmth without overpowering the minimalist decor. I’ve found that microcement finishes like Salt Microcement provide a modern yet understated texture that works well in transitional spaces such as kitchen backsplashes or bathroom countertops. Their light, earthy colors blend well with Buttermilk Oak, maintaining coherence across rooms. One tip I always follow is to test paint and laminate samples in the exact rooms where they’ll be used, noting how artificial and natural light influence the colors throughout the day. This approach prevents surprises and ensures the materials bring out the intended Japandi calmness and minimalist harmony. Lastly, embracing the Japandi style means prioritizing simplicity and functionality while integrating subtle textures and warm materials. By carefully selecting and repeating these paint and laminate codes, you can create a peaceful, cozy environment that feels unified and intentional.

🎨 Picking paint colors from just a catalogue?
Big mistake 😅 What you see on paper is not what you’ll see on your walls. ✅ Paint always looks about a shade darker once it’s up. ✅ Lighting changes everything (warm, white, 3K, 4K — totally different vibes). ✅ Samples let you see the real color in your space, next to your laminates, tiles, an
