Autoimmune Disease Awareness Month Is Here!

Hey, my pretty warriors! I know, I know it's been a minute since you've heard from me. But I've been here just behind the scenes, watching, learning, listening, growing, and taking care of myself as well. You all know how important it is to P.s Pretty Sick® to continuously bring enlightenment and understanding to society and communities when it comes to the topic of inviisble, chronic, and autoimmune diseases. This holds space in my heart, as I am a warrior myself. Advocacy and awareness are extremely important within the autoimmune disease community because it can truly help to "improve patient outcomes and ultimately help in finding a cure" and better treatments for those living with autoimmune diseases.

March is autoimmune awarness month, and as we get into it, please take the time to become familiar with a few of the 100+ autoimmune diseases that exist in the world today. Your eyes will be opened to what many are dealing with. Learning helps bring awareness and understanding and shows how much you care by being informed.

... Read moreAutoimmune diseases are a group of more than 100 disorders where the body's immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues. Common autoimmune diseases include rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis, and type 1 diabetes. Awareness is essential; by learning about these conditions, individuals can better empathize with those affected. This month, consider participating in local events and initiatives, sharing resources, and supporting organizations like the Autoimmune Association and the National Organization for Rare Disorders. Empower yourself and others to join the conversation about autoimmune diseases and their impact, highlighting the experiences of warriors battling these invisible illnesses. Use social media hashtags like #AutoimmuneAwarenessMonth and #AutoimmuneWarrior to spread the word and foster community support. Together, we can advocate for greater understanding and advancements in research, helping to improve the quality of life for millions. Also, consider speaking with healthcare professionals to better understand symptoms and treatment options, as early detection can lead to better outcomes.
