Reading several “investigators” notes. There’s a common theme here, aka“crazy”
You were abusive towards me and now you’ve taken our sons innocence away. The safe parent is always deemed “crazy” for speaking the truth. I was your victim NOW SURVIVOR.
From my own experience and countless stories I've come across, the label of 'crazy' often falls unfairly on those who courageously speak the truth about abuse. It's heartbreaking how the 'safe' parent who tries to protect their child can be misunderstood and ridiculed. This stigma is a common tactic used by abusers to silence and discredit survivors, masking the real issue behind insults and name-calling, such as being called a "crazy B******". I remember the emotional toll of being disrespected and bullied by someone I once trusted. Over time, such abuse steals innocence not just from the victim but also from the children involved, leaving scars that last a lifetime. The phrase "I was your victim NOW SURVIVOR" resonates deeply because moving from victimhood to survival is a powerful journey that requires support and validation. It's essential to recognize that the narrative painted by abusers often distorts reality. The safe parent’s role is crucial, and identifying red flags early can prevent further harm. Honest conversations, raising awareness, and standing united against victim-blaming language help create a safer space for survivors to share their truth without the fear of being dismissed as 'crazy.' This collective strength can ultimately restore innocence and hope to both parents and children affected by abuse.
