Growing up in Pensacola as someone born in 1974 and raised in the Catholic faith has shaped not only my spiritual beliefs but also my deep love for my hometown’s culture and community. One of the greatest joys has been participating in local traditions such as crawfish festivals and enjoying steamed shrimp with family and friends. These moments bring a unique sense of togetherness and celebration that I treasure. Being baptized in 1983 was a significant milestone that marked my formal entry into the faith community, further strengthening my bond with the values and rituals of Catholicism. Attending church regularly and partaking in faith-filled Sundays has constantly nurtured my spiritual growth and provided a source of comfort and guidance.
