Nighttime Habits for the BEST SLEEP!!!😴
A good nights rest is sooo important to set yourself up for the next day, but if you’re like me that’s caught up in life’s fight or flight and never seem to have a quiet mind, then this is for you!!
Here are some simple habits that can easily be incorporated in your nighttime routine that can make A HUGE difference in your everyday and sleep quality. 😴
🌙Make your room a sanctuary- a clean room is a sign of a clear mind, so make it inviting and a place you look forward to spending time in. Remember, we spend 6-8+ hours in there!
🌙Spend 15 minutes of a calming activity- this is a simple nervous reset to help your body and mind naturally start to unwind. I personally love a good guided meditation with breathing exercises but it can be stretching, yoga, or even journaling. Do an activity that you will look forward to that helps you relax. 🤍
🌙Drink PureJoy’s Unwind before bed- I rave about this drink bc it’s literally a game changer!! It’s A. Good for you and B. Tasty and C. Improves sleep!! It’s packed with adaptogens that help naturally calm your body and mind and has your full daily dosage of magnesium all wrapped up in one can! I also love doing some fun mocktails instead of having a glass of wine. I meeeaannnn What’s not to like? 🤩
🌙Switch out screen time for reading time📖- at minimum try not to use any screen 30 minutes before bed. If you’re still not tired and looking for a pass time then read instead or write!

A restful night's sleep is crucial for both mental and physical well-being. To further support your nighttime routine, consider incorporating these practices: 1. **Optimize Your Sleep Environment**: Ensure that your bedroom is dark, cool, and quiet. Invest in blackout curtains and white noise machines if necessary. This environment promotes relaxation and allows for uninterrupted sleep. 2. **Consistency is Key**: Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. This helps regulate your body’s internal clock, improving the quality of your sleep over time. 3. **Disconnect from Electronics**: In today's digital age, the blue light emitted by screens can interfere with your body's ability to produce melatonin, a hormone essential for sleep. Aim to limit screen time at least an hour before bed, opting instead for calming activities. 4. **Develop a Pre-Sleep Ritual**: Creating a routine can signal to your body that it’s time to wind down. Whether it's taking a warm bath, reading a book, or doing gentle stretches, find what relaxes you. 5. **Mindfulness and Meditation**: Techniques such as mindfulness and meditation can help reduce anxiety and stress, leading to improved sleep. Practicing deep breathing or engaging in guided meditations can prepare your mind for rest. 6. **Be Mindful of What You Consume**: Certain foods and drinks can affect your sleep. Avoid caffeine and heavy meals close to bedtime and consider light snacks that promote sleep, such as bananas or oatmeal. By integrating these strategies along with your favorite habits highlighted in the article, you can maximize your chances of achieving the restorative sleep your body craves.
