It’s not just about selling a product; it’s about becoming a jack-of-all-trades – from customer service to creative director, and yes, even expert problem-solver for unexpected shipping nightmares. Just yesterday, we dealt with another post office saga. It's astonishing how often they decide to close randomly or simply refuse service, causing frustrating delays in shipping orders. We've learned that having backup plans, or even multiple shipping partners, is non-negotiable. And let's not even get started on inventory management! We recently over-ordered on 4-pack boxes, thinking we were being proactive. Now, moving those bulky boxes as we transition from our current warehouse into a bigger one is proving to be a colossal task. It's a prime example of how even small miscalculations can create big challenges when you're managing everything yourself in a functional beverage business. Beyond the daily grind of packing orders, we're constantly juggling other aspects of growth. We're currently finalising our new can designs, which is exciting but also a huge undertaking. Balancing creative vision with production realities, while also restocking local retailers and preparing to produce our new flavours, means our to-do list never shrinks. It's a never-ending cycle of innovation and execution, and it truly defines the 'small business owner working' experience. Honestly, there are days when I feel incredibly exhausted. The sheer mental and physical drain of running a small business with my partner, especially a growing functional beverage brand, is immense. One moment you're celebrating a new design, the next you're troubleshooting a shipping issue. But what keeps us going is the passion for our brand and the incredible support from our community. Every day brings a new 'mountain to climb,' but also a new opportunity to learn and adapt.
