I actually watched this show once back in secondary school, and it left such a deep impression that I still remember certain scenes till today. So when I planned my recent Hangzhou trip, I told my friends — this HAS to be in the itinerary. No negotiations. 😆
We booked our tickets through Pelago, and just a heads-up: you’ll need to exchange them for physical tickets at the booth before entering. I got the normal ticket tier, and the staff guided me straight to my assigned seat (pretty straightforward!).
And wow… even though the show I saw this time was different from what I remembered years ago, I was equally blown away.
The lighting, the perfectly synced choreography, the smooth scene transitions, and the way everything happens ON TOP of West Lake — it’s honestly magical!
The whole performance is about 1.5 hours, featuring a floating stage and a night view so stunning it doesn’t feel real. Definitely one of those “you must see it once in your life” experiences.
