This little TinkerBell journal has been with me for over 20 years. I’ve never written in it. Not because I didn’t want to… but because I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t want to mess it up. I kept thinking, “One day I’ll give this to my daughter.”
Plot twist: I have two boys. No daughters. No plans for more kids. 😅
So now I’m sitting here with a fairy journal and a heart full of memories. I’m not even mad about it. I think little me just wanted to be seen, to hold onto something pretty, pink, and full of hope.
What should I do with it now? ✨ Frame it? Write a letter to my younger self? Let it stay blank and beautiful?
I know I’m not the only one who’s saved something for a “someday” that turned out different than expected. Share yours with me 💕

... Read moreThe Tinker Bell journal has become a symbol of nostalgia and unfulfilled aspirations in many of our lives. As we grow older, we often reflect on our childhood, and these types of journals hold sentiments that serve as a reminder of simpler times. Similarly, keeping a journal can help in processing feelings and preserving memories, regardless of whether those entries ever see the light of day. When faced with a journal that feels too precious to spoil, consider exploring creative alternatives. For instance, transforming the journal into a scrapbook can provide a beautiful way to incorporate photos, mementos, and personal thoughts. Alternatively, you might choose to write letters to your future self or outline dreams and wishes you have for your life ahead. This practice can also serve as a therapeutic way to engage with the emotions associated with expectations versus reality in parenthood. Remember, the value lies not just in the journal but in the memories it evokes and the personal growth it symbolizes. How have you connected with keepsakes throughout your journey? What stories do they tell?
It's beautiful 🥰🥰🥰
